Adventura, the annual festivity in the City of Šibenik in the month of December, includes a prize contest called Christmas Gingerbread (Božićni medenjak). The competition recognizes owners of business and private spaces in the Šibenik’s old town’s center that have decorated their windowshops in the »sweetest« way. Adventura 2017 awarded the best windowshops for the third time.

This year the City of Šibenik and the Šibenik Tourist Board awarded the Golden Gingerbread (Zlatni medenjak) to Danijel Hrg, owner of the Deni Design shop. The award included a 1000 kunas in prize money.

The second place and its Silver Gingerbread (Srebrni medenjak) with its 700 kunas in prize, went to Milenka Mrša, owner of the Novi Bagat shop. The third place and Bronze Gingerbread (Brončani medenjak) were given to several Šibenik’s places: Jurij Dalmatinac Gallery, Dana Gallery, Pizzeria Fontana and to Caffe bar Vino&Ino. Each of them received 500 kunas.

»With this award contest we continue to revitalize the old town’s center and motivate the merchants to contribute to Šibenik’s Christmas atmosphere with their ideas and creativity,« says Dino Karađole, director of Šibenik Tourist Board.
